A dinner for Father Hannibal’s House was held today at St. Mary’s Church Hall today February 21, 2017 at 7 p.m. in Sanger.

Father Hannibal’s House , is Rogationists apostolate among the poorest of the poor. It is a non -profit Catholic organization providing emergency help to people in need, regardless of race, religion or national origin. This apostolate of Rogationist Fathers is coursed through the Thrift Store and Social Services that caters the indigent members of the society. This year 2016, a total of 2, 815 families benefited from this apostolate.

​The Major Superior, Fr.Shajan Pazhayil, accompanied by Fr. Vinu Velutheppilly receives a warm welcome at Rogate Sneha Bhavan, Nalgonda. Fr.  Shajan started his second canonical visit of his mandate as the Major Superior. He will stay up to February 24, visiting the community of Nalgonda. On the way back he will also visit Fr. Joby Kavungal, who is working at Catholic Health Association of India. (CHAI) and Fr. Sabu Pulimalayil, who is  temporarily serving CHAI, waiting for the visa to Australia. 

A Conference on the Encyclical Laudato Si : Care for our Home, was facilitated by Cardinal Peter Turkson held at the Holy Spirit Church in Fresno at 7 p.m. on February 20, 2017.

 The St. Thomas Quasi Province organised a get together of the parents of all the religious. Every year, the centre of studies used to organise this event to thank the parents for their collaboration in the formation of their children as well as to update them about the congregation and its growth in India and other parts of the world. On February 18, the parents of all the religious students came and the parents day celebration started with an hour of Eucharistic adoration. After dinner the brothers performed an hour of cultural programmes for the parents.

Domenica 19 Marzo alle 13,00 avrà luogo presso il Centro Parrocchiale S.Maria dell'Accoglienza alla Madonna delle Lacrime - Villaggio Padre Annibale il Pranzo di Solidarietà' in onore di S. Annibale Maria Di Francia    in occasione della Festa di San Giuseppe offerto dalle due Parrocchie agli Ospiti delle Mense della Città. "Fu proprio il 19 marzo del 1881 che il Canonico Messinese, di famiglia nobile, coinvolse l'Aristocrazia della Città  organizzando al Quartiere Avignone il primo Pranzo per i Poveri . Mercoledì scorso, 14 febbraio 2017, P. Salvatore Greco è stato chiamato dalla Segreteria Personale di Papa Francesco per concelebrare nella santa messa mattutina nella cappella di Santa Marta al Vaticano. Il desiderio del nostro confratello che già da tempo aveva festeggiato i 50 anni di sacerdozio è stato così esaudito. Nel saluto dopo la santa messa P.
