The Archbishop of Faridabad, New Delhi, Bishop Kuriakose Bharanikulangara visitied the Major Superior of STQP to extend an invitation to start a mission in his vast diocese, constituted two years ago. The diocese is composed of five states of North India, New Dlehi, Hariyana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir. The bishop is in need of religious to carry out the evangelization in these states. His grace had already met Fr. Luigi Toffanin two years ago to propose the same invitation to his diocese. Fr. Shajan, together with Fr. Vinu Velutheppilly listened to the various mission possibilities that can be entrusted to the Rogationists. The bishop proposed to start a missionary presence in Punjab, where there are new converts and they are in need of missionaries, priests and religious for evangelization. So, if we have prepared and willing priests and religious to work in this mission, you are most welcome, the bishop said.

The Major Superior of STQP, Fr. Shajan Pazhayil exhorts Bro. Rinu and Bro. Jomon as they are preparing to leave for Sri Lanka, to start their theological studies at the national seminary of Kandy. The brothers will leave on September 04, 2015. They will stay with Fr. Varghese Panickassery in the small house, given by the bishop. The classes will begin by the end of September. We wish all the best to these two brothers as they will start to prepare themselves to take up the future Sri Lankan Mission of the congregation.

1 settembre 2015, San Lorenzo – Paraguay. Si conclude la visita alla Comunità rogazionista del Paraguay con una giornata molto intensa per il Padre Generale. In mattinata, dopo la visita alle 8 cappelle della Parrocchia di Nostra Signora di Fatima, P. Angelo si reca ad Asunción alla sede della CONFERPAR (Conferenza dei Religiosi del Paraguay), dove studiano i nostri seminaristi del Propedeutico. Nel pomeriggio, P. Angelo visita la casa delle suore attive nella parrocchia rogazionista, le Missionarie Oblate dell’Assunzione, per poi incontrare la comunità formativa e i seminaristi. La giornata si conclude con la santa messa presso la cappella del Seminario, con la presenza di numerose catechiste e collaboratrici parrocchiali.

31 agosto 2015, San Lorenzo - Paraguay. Nel primo pomeriggio P. Angelo A. Mezzari, accompagnato da P. Matteo Sanavio, raggiunge la città di Asunción, capitale del Paraguay. Da lì è portato nella cittadina di S. Lorenzo, per essere ospitato presso il Seminario Rogazionista Roga. In serata una piccola festa di accoglienza è curata dai responsabili della Comunità Parrocchiale di Nostra Signora di Fatima.

Presso i locali della Sede Provinciale dei Rogazionisti a San Paolo, Brasile, oggi, domenica 30 agosto 2015, si sono riunite più di 500 persone per la festa italiana, che hanno consumato nella fraternità un pranzo preparato dai volontari legati alla Congregazione. Il ricavato dell'iniziativa è stato destinato interamente alla rete socioeducativa che nella città di S. Paolo i Rogazionisti stanno sostenendo. Alla festa ha preso parte anche P. Angelo A. Mezzari, Superiore Generale, e numerosi amici della Comunità e graditi ospiti, tra cui l'associazione "Canori d'Italia" che ha allietato la festa con canti italiani.

29 agosto 2016. San Paolo, Morro Doce. La giornata si apre per P. Angelo con la Santa Messa presso lo Studentato Teologico Rogazionista a San Paolo, dove c’è anche la sede del Centro Rogate e dell’IPV (Istituto di Pastorale Vocazionale). In seguito, il Superiore Generale incontra prima la Comunità Formativa e poi i religiosi studenti. Nel primo pomeriggio la visita prosegue presso la parrocchia Nostra Signora delle Grazie nel Morro Doce, periferia di San Paolo, che si estende su un territorio abitato da circa 190.000 persone e che presenta circa 15 cappelle, tutte accompagnate pastoralmente dalla nostra Comunità Religiosa e dagli studenti di Teologia. P. Angelo, al termine della giornata, celebra la messa vespertina presso la cappella del Cuore Eucaristico di Gesù, animata con semplicità dalla Comunità cristiana locale.

The Bishop Emeritus of Daet, Most Rev. Benjamin Almoneda, D.D., compared the delight of the people present at the Holy Spirit Chapel of the Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies to witness the Ordination to the Sacred Order of Deacons of seven Religious Brothers to the joy of the early Christian community who received the first seven Deacons to be at their service. On the 29^th of August, 2015, the good Bishop, through the imposition of the hands and the invocation of the Holy Spirit, ordained Deacons Bro. Jessel Bangoy, RCJ, Bro. Harvey Cestina, RCJ, Bro. Henrikus Gualbertus, RCJ, Bro. Tristan Angelo Palado, RCJ, Bro. Welbert Llyd Suarez, RCJ, Bro. Francisco Gringo Tagabi, RCJ and Bro. Sherwin Valenzuela, RCJ. It is worth highlighting that Rev. Henrikus Gualbertus is the first Indonesian Deacon from the Missionary Station in Maumere, Indonesia, fruit of the prayers and hard work of our missionaries there. Let us, then, thank the Lord of the Harvest for constantly listening to our prayers for numerous and holy laborers in His vineyard.

26 agosto 2016, Presidente Janio Quadros, Bahia. Nelle prime ore della mattina, P. Angelo A. Mezzari e P. Matteo Sanavio arrivano presso la Comunità di Presidente Janio Quadros in Bahia, nella regione del Sertao, dove i Rogazionisti hanno una missione che abbraccia tre municipi: Presidente Janio Quadros, Maetinga e Caraíbas. Dopo una condivisione fraterna con la Comunità religiosa, P. Angelo presiede la S. Messa e visita nel pomeriggio le Consorelle Figlie del Divino Zelo a Maetinga e alcune cappelle di Janio Quadros. Prima di cena, un architetto della prefettura della cittadina, presenta alla comunità il progetto per un’opera sociale con i bambini, da costruire su un terreno in periferia.

23-24 agosto 2015, Campina Grande, Paraiba. Arrivati nel pomeriggio di domenica presso la Comunità del Nord Est del Brasile, P. Angelo A. Mezzari e P. Matteo Sanavio sono accolti presso la casa parrocchiale in cui vive la stessa Comunità. In serata la messa domenicale viene celebrata presso la chiesa matrice della Parrocchia, dedicata all’Immacolata Concezione di Maria. L'indomani, dopo la celebrazione eucaristica nella casa parrocchiale e la riunione con la Comunità religiosa, p. Angelo è accolto assieme agli altri Padri dal Vescovo di Campina Grande, Mons. Manoel Delson Pedreira da Cruz, per un incontro fraterno e il pranzo. Nel pomeriggio, il P. Generale visita le dieci cappelle che formano la parrocchia e che vengono servite dalla Comunità rogazionista.

On 23^rd August 2015, (2^nd death anniversary of Rev. Fr. Luigi Toffanin RCJ, late Major Superior), Rev. Fr. Shajan Pazhayil RCJ laid the foundation works of Rev. Fr. Luigi Memorial Vocational Training Center in the presence of Fr. Saji Kappikuzhy RCJ, Fr. Vibin Edassery RCJ, Fr. James Plathottathil RCJ, Bro. Nikhil Attukaran RCJ, Postulants, Sisters, friends and well-wishers of the Vocational Training Center. Around 120 people witnessed the ceremony. This Vocational Training Center is aiming at children, helping them to find out their talents and the means of self- existence. It also provides the opportunity to the children to move away from the street life to a more settled and disciplined one. Short-term skills and training courses are offered to equip the children to start an activity either in small group or alone. May Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord help us to fulfill His mission. Mary our mother, St. Antony and St. Hannibal intercede for us. May the soul of Fr. Luigi Toffanin RCJ rest in peace.
