Seimila giovani provenienti da scuole, parrocchie, gruppi e movimenti giovanili e congregazioni religiose di diverse diocesi delle Filippine si sono riuniti per celebrare il dono della vocazione durante il primo Festival Nazionale delle Vocazioni. Il festival si è tenuto il 27 aprile 2024 presso il Rogationist College di Silang, Cavite, e ha rappresentato il culmine del 28° Convegno Nazionale delle Vocazioni dei Diretors of Vocations of the Philippines (DVP). Il festival è stato organizzato congiuntamente dalla Commissione per le Vocazioni della Conferenza Episcopale delle Filippine e dal DVP.
I partecipanti hanno ascoltato discorsi e testimonianze e hanno avuto opportunità di preghiera, direzione spirituale, confessione e condivisione. L'Arcivescovo Charles John Brown, Nunzio Apostolico nelle Filippine, ha presieduto la celebrazione eucaristica. I giovani hanno anche avuto l'opportunità di visitare gli stand vocazionali di varie comunità religiose e seminari diocesani. La giornata di festa si è conclusa con un concerto tenuto da religiosi, religiose e sacerdoti.
Negli ultimi anni, il Rogationist College di Cavite è stato la sede dell'annuale Festival delle Vocazioni della Diocesi di Imus (Cavite). Questa volta ha ospitato anche il primo festival nazionale delle vocazioni.

Philippines: 1st National Vocations Festival
Six thousand young people from different schools, parishes, youth groups and movements, and religious congregations from different dioceses in the Philippines came together to celebrate the gift of vocation in the first-ever National Vocation Festival. It was held on April 27, 2024 at the Rogationist College in Silang, Cavite, also as the culmination of the 28th National Vocation Convention of the Directors of Vocations of the Philippines (DVP). The festival was jointly organized by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines Commission on Vocations and the DVP.
The participants listened to talks and testimonies and had opportunities for prayer, spiritual direction, confession and sharing. Archbishop Charles John Brown, Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, presided over the Eucharistic celebration. The young people also had the opportunity to visit the vocation booths of various religious communities and diocesan seminaries. The day-long festival concluded with a concert given by religious and priests.
In the past years, the Rogationist College Cavite has been the venue for the annual Vocation Festival of the Diocese of Imus (Cavite). This time, it also hosted the first national vocation festival.
