Comunicato stampa - traslazione e tumulazione del servo di dio p. Giuseppe Marrazzo. Dal gran camposanto alla basilica di s. Antonio 9 - 10 maggio 2014

La Comunità dei Rogazionisti annunzia con grande gioia la Traslazione e Tumulazione del Servo Di Dio P. Giuseppe Marrazzo nella Basilica di S. Antonio . Il giorno 9 maggio a partire dalle ore 18 avrà inizio una commemorazione con la celebrazione della S. Messa presieduta dal Superiore Generale dei Rogazionisti P. Angelo Mezzari. Successivamente sarà proiettato un video e proposta una conferenza sulla personalità del Servo di Dio dal tema “P. Marrazzo sorriso di Dio”. Alle ore 19,30 la salma del “prete del popolo”,  del “confessore instancabile” verrà traslata e tumulata nella Basilica di S. Antonio nel loculo che fu per molti anni di S. Annibale prima della sua canonizzazione. Padre Giuseppe Marrazzo dopo aver trascorso quasi 50° anni nel Santuario di S. Antonio, a distanza di 22 anni dalla sua morte avvenuta il 30 novembre del 1992, vi ritorna definitivamente, cosi da stabilire la sua perenne dimora in quella che fu la casa e il luogo del suo ministero e apostolato.  Il 23 Settembre 1954 P. Marrazzo si rivolgeva alla Madonna con questa preghiera «Ave Maria, Madre di Dio e mamma mia, fatemi consumare tutta la vita in questo Santuario di S. Antonio. Mamma fatemi morire al confessionale o all’altare». Senz’altro P. Marrazzo ha lasciato  in tutti coloro che lo hanno conosciuto e avvicinato un ricordo incancellabile. La sua fama di prete santo e confessore ricercato ha dato avvio il 18 maggio 2008 alla causa di canonizzazione che si avvia adesso alla chiusura della fase diocesana. Sabato 10 maggio alle ore 18 con la solenne S. Messa presieduta da Sua Ecc.za Rev.ma Mons. Aluva:  On May 7,  the new chapel of the Provincial House of St. Thomas Quasi Province Aluva was blessed. The blessing of the new chapel and the first Holy mass was officiated by Provincial Fr. Shajan Pazhil, Fr. Vinu Velutheppilly Vicar of the Province along with the provincial community members joined the simple blessing and the first Holy Mass in the Chapel. During the celebration the provincial thanked God for the gift of the new chapel and urged the community to make use of this holy place to improve the communion with Jesus and with one another. 

Domenica 4 maggio si è concluso, presso il centro "Mater Ecclesiae" di Roma, il Convegno Internazionale sulla Pedagogia Rogazionista, che ha visto la partecipazione di oltre 250 partecipanti della Famiglia del Rogate. Dagli interventi dei relatori e dei partecipanti, è emerso come Sant'Annibale abbia lasciato un'eredità preziosa ai suoi figli spirituali, che sono chiamati oggi ad incarnarla nelle sfide attuali della globalizzazione e della frammentarietà culturale e sociale. Sr. Rosa Graziano, nella sua sintesi conclusiva, P. Angelo A. Mezzari e Madre Teolinda Salemi, Superiori Generali dei Rogazionisti e delle Figlie del Divino Zelo, hanno ribadito come oggi il mondo ci chieda di trovare nuove forme di collaborazione per proporre insieme gli elementi e la testimonianza luminosa della pedagogia di Sant'Annibale. Nella celebrazione eucaristica conclusiva, presieduta da P. Angelo A. Mezzari, si è tenuto un ricordo comune del decimo anniversario della Canonizzazione di Sant'Annibale M. Di Francia, Fondatore e Padre della grande Famiglia del Rogate.

Dopo la giornata introduttiva, che ha visto l’apertura dei lavori da parte del Superiore Generale, P. Angelo Mezzari, e dalla Presidente del Congresso, Sr. Rosa Graziano, e le conferenze del prof. Andrea Riccardi e Rocco Buttiglione, che hanno illustrato i due termini fondamentali della questione, la globalizzazione e la sfida educativa, i due giorni successivi hanno approfondito i suddetti temi guardando al progetto educativo da riformulare ed un’identità da rinnovare. Sono state molto apprezzate le relazioni della prof.ssa Marianna Gensabella, della Madre Diodata Guerrera, del prof. Luigi Russo e del Prof. Armin Altamirano Lustro. Ugualmente un prezioso contributo al Congresso è venuto dai partecipanti nei lavori di gruppo e nelle assemblee del pomeriggio.   

Lord Jesus, thank you for dying for us and thank you even more for rising for us. By your passion and death, you have revealed to us your infinite love. By your resurrection, you have strengthened our faith in you. Grant us the grace to daily hope that one day, we will share in your glory. Amen

“EGO SUM, NOLITE TEMERE, It is I, do not be afraid”. This is the overall theme of the 4^th General Assembly of the perpetually professed members of the Philippine Quasi Province which was held at the Oasis of Prayer, Silang, Cavite, from April 21-28, 2014.

The Assembly served as a preparatory gathering of all the perpetually professed in view of PQP’s constitution as a Province. It was divided into two parts. The First part was a retreat in order to meditate and reflect on one’s life in the light of the said theme. The second part was the formal Assembly itself.

The assembly was lucky to have known personalities and some of our very own religious who facilitated the reflections. Fr. Francis Gustilo SDB, a member of the International Theological Commission guided everybody on the the first two day. The third day was a surprise reflection coming from none other than the Cardinal of the Archdiocese of Manila, Card. Luis Antonio Tagle. In the in the afternoon of the same day Fr. Marcelino Diaz shared his thoughts on Prayer. The fourth day was given by Fr. Orvile Cajigal RCJ. He elaborated his experience being immersed with the poor in order to promote the poor. His worth encouraging experiences led everybody to appreciate the value of preferential option for the poor and simplicity of life.

On April 25, 2014 the participants of the Assembly had a one day outing or excursion in the famous resort in Batangas, the Balai Isabel. Everybody enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and ambience.

On April 26, 2015 the Second part of the Assembly, which is the formal Assembly, was held. After the opening rites, Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, RCJ, Vicar General and representative of the Superior General, presided over the said Assembly. He read the message and thoughts of the Superior General, Fr. Angelo Mezzari RCJ. Then there was the election of the Board of the Assembly which was composed of the following: Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, serving as President, Fr. Danny Montana as Moderator-1, Fr. Dexter Prudenciano as Moderator-2, Fr. John Lucas a Secretary (assisted by two other secretaries), Bro. Ryan Jiminez and Rev. RG Cagbabanua as Scrutineers. After the said election, Fr. Herman Abcede, the Provincial Superior read his Report on the Status of the Philippine Quasi Province. The other 4 Councillors made also the report on their respective sectors of responsibility. Then there was the presentation of the draft PQP Directory by Fr. Herman Abcede, Provincial Superior. He elaborated the itinerary of the Draft PQP Directory and the nature and value of this document in the life of the province.  Afterwards the assembly was divided into four groups or commissions to discuss and deliberate on the various articles. There were four commissions created namely: Commission on Religious life and Formation, Commission on Mission, Commission on Structures and Government, and the Commission on Administration of goods.

On April 27, 2014 the discussion and the committed deliberation continued. Then after the committee deliberation there was the so called plenary assembly in which the articles were explained and proposed to the Assembly later for approval. The plenary discussion served as to enhance the various articles of the directory and to evaluate its relevance.

On April 28, 2014 the final draft of the document by committee was presented again to the plenary assembly for approval. Article by article, the assembly confirmed or rejected the presented articles of the PQP Directory. When the approbation was over, the respective Councillors and even the provincial superior made their last or final message on the possible directions of the various sectors and of the province. Then missionaries of the various stations in Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea and Papua New Guinea shared some of their experiences to the assembly. Then when everything was over Fr. Bruno Rampazzo read his final message and concluded the session of the 4^th General Assembly of the Philippine Quasi Province.

To express gratitude for the successful General Assembly, at 12:30 in the afternoon, Fr. Herman Abcede RCJ, the Provincial Superior, presided over the concluding Mass in the Oasis of Prayer Chapel. Fr. Herman made a synthesis of all the reflections and of the liturgical celebrations. He reiterated that everyone should not be afraid because “It is the Lord” and the Lord is enough and sufficient for us. There is no way to be afraid because the Lord made us, saved us, called us, declared that we are his, that we are precious and loved by him. Fr. Herman stressed also the need to be aware that fear may become obstacle for anyone to totally commit and move on with the Lord. Before the mass ended some certificates of appreciation were given to Fr. Bruno and to other religious who contributed a lot in the proceeding of the 4^th General Assembly.

Carissimi Convegnisti, Con rinnovato spirito di entusiasmo che viene dal Cristo Risorto, attendiamo l’imminente celebrazione del nostro 1° Convegno Educativo Internazionale; infatti, abbiamo ancora un'altra settimana di intensa preparazione.

Nel frattempo, vorremmo darvi queste ultime comunicazioni:

1) Qui alleghiamo la copia finale della brochure con il programma completo del Congresso, nonché l'indicazione su come raggiungere la sede. Troverete una copia stampata inserita nel KIT che vi verrà dato al momento dell'arrivo presso la sede. Vi informiamo che scendendo dal Bus e dopo aver attraversato la Via Aurelia 737, saranno messi a disposizione dei mezzi di trasporto per raggiungere la sede del Convegno in Via Pietro de Francisci.

2) Vi inviamo anche una copia della Guida per il 1° Convegno Educativo Internazionale 2014. Vi consigliamo vivamente di leggere e riflettere ancora una volta sul documento, come un aiuto per il successo del Congresso. Se lo ritenete necessario, potete scaricare e stampare la vostra copia personale da portare al Convegno.

3) È possibile portare qualsiasi materiale stampato sulle vostre attività educative locali, che  desiderate mettere nell’apposito spazio espositivo, e condividere agli altri partecipanti.

4 ) Infine, vorremmo ricordare che la sede del Congresso inizierà a ricevere i convegnisti solo e non prima del pomeriggio del 30 aprile.

Ogni persona che si interroga sul serio circa il discernimento per la vita religiosa o sacerdotale troverà in questo libro, molto semplicemente, un lavoro di grazia. Suor Kathy Bryant, infatti, presenta una ricca gamma di riflessioni, esercizi, risorse e strumenti eminentemente pratici per aiutare una persona a fare un serio lavoro di discernimento.
Suor Kathy è donna di grande disciplina. Lei è una teologa pratica, insegnante esperta, esercita il suo ministero a servizio delle vocazioni, attraverso conferenze e ritiri spirituali che conduce lei stessa. Tutto ciò le ha permesso di produrre un libro di tale saggezza pratica che si rimane sorpresi, alla lettura, per la precisione con cui affronta il tema del discernimento. Il lettore potrà così beneficiare di una guida davvero illuminata in Sister Kathy. Ella ci fa comprendere la natura del servizio consacrato nella Chiesa attraverso l’analisi dei diversi contesti storici e contemporanei. Inoltre, ospita le sue riflessioni nella migliore ecclesiologia e spiritualità del dopo Vaticano II.

Forse la sorpresa più inaspettata del libro è la stessa persona di Sr. Kathy. La sua vita di profonda preghiera, l’onesta condivisione della propria storia, emerge come tra le più preziose risorse che offre. Lei è una donna di grazia e di benedizione e di servizio amorevole e la sua storia ha il potere di dare agli altri la fiducia per ascoltare la propria verità.
Ho avuto il privilegio di lavorare con direttori e formatori vocazionali dal 1978 e ho potuto seguire migliaia di percorsi vocazionali con uomini e donne candidati alla vita religiosa e al sacerdozio. Non ho mai incontrato, però, un compendio di strumenti, risorse e consigli pratici più utile che in questo libro. Inoltre è una risorsa straordinaria non solo per i candidati, ma anche per i loro direttori. Molti dei suggerimenti di preghiera offerti nella parte finale del libro potrebbero costituire un’agenda comune da condividere insieme tra i candidati e le loro guide.
Certamente questo libro non poteva che provenire dalla mente e dal cuore di qualcuno che fosse una persona di profonda preghiera e santa intimità. Invece di intimidire o sopraffare il lettore, la presentazione umile e disponibile di Sr. Kathy trasmette la fiducia che l’onesto discernimento farà bene anche al lettore.

Alcuni anni fa assieme a Sr. Kathy ho condotto un corso di formazione di una settimana per direttori vocazionali, formatori e i loro superiori provenienti dalla zona del Pacifico Meridionale. A conclusione del workshop nella bella Sydney, in Australia, una delle superiore provinciali femminili mi si avvicinò e disse: “Wow! Ascoltare Kathy è come bere da un idrante! Ha tanta saggezza!”

E così, caro lettore, lo devi sapere: c’è un mare di sapienza e di grazia sulla tua strada!

Biografia dell’autore

Sr. Kathleen Bryant è suora della Carità. Per 21 anni, ha servito da talent scout di Dio e direttrice vocazione per l'Arcidiocesi di Los Angeles. Sr. Kathleen è cresciuta da ragazza sulla spiaggia della California ed è entrata in convento nel 1967 ed è stata missionaria in Africa per 5 anni prima di prestare il suo servizio nella pastorale vocazionale. Attualmente, Sr. Kathleen svolge il suo ministero nel campo della spiritualità nell’accompagnamento, nella predicazione di ritiri, nella direzione spirituale e come formatrice nel seminario. Foreword

            Any person serious about discernment for religious life or the priesthood will find this book, quite simply, a work of grace. Sister Kathy Bryant has produced a rich stew of reflections, exercises, resources and eminently practical tools to help a person do the serious work of discernment.

            Sister Kathy is a woman of great discipline. She is a practical theologian, a seasoned teacher and vocation minister, a spiritual director and an accomplished speaker and retreat leader. All those attributes combine to produce a book of such practical wisdom that one comes away from the reading amazed at the precision with which she approaches discernment. The reader will benefit from a rare and graced guide in Sister Kathy. She provides historical as well as contemporary contexts for understanding the applied nature of consecrated service to the Church. Further, she houses her reflections in the best of post-Vatican II ecclesiology and spirituality.

            Perhaps the most serendipitous surprise in the book is that Sister Kathy’s own person, her deep prayer life, her radically honest sharing of her own story emerges as among the most valuable resources she offers.             I have had the privilege of working with vocation and formation directors since 1978. As well, I have conducted thousands of intense behavioral vocational assessments with both men and women candidates for religious life and the priesthood. Moreover it is an extraordinary resource not only for candidates, but for their directors as well. Many of the prayer suggestions offered toward the end of the book could well provide a common agenda for candidates and their guides to share together.

 Author’s Biography

Sr. Kathleen Bryant is a Religious Sister of Charity. For twenty-one years, Sr. Kathleen served as a Talent Scout for God as a Vocation Director for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Sr. Kathleen grew up as a California beach girl who entered the convent in 1967 and served as a missionary in Africa for 5 years before responding to the call in vocation ministry. Presently, Sr. Kathleen ministers in the field of spirituality as a facilitator, retreat director, spiritual director and workshop presenter. Sr. Kathleen earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree from the Graduate Theological Foundation and a Master Degree in Spirituality from the University of San Francisco. She has authored numerous articles and books and has presented workshops and retreats in Australia, Ireland, Africa, and throughout the United States. Sr. Kathleen presently serves on the RSC Regional Leadership Team for California. Among her passions are connecting people with God in a digital world, teaching discernment and prayer, and working for the abolition of human trafficking and slavery.  

Oggi, 15 aprile 2014, Martedì Santo, il Padre Generale e la Comunità religiosa della Curia Generalizia hanno voluto esprimere i loro auguri pasquali al personale dipendente. Insieme, si è celebrata la santa messa e, successivamente, si è condiviso il pranzo al refettorio. In questo modo si è voluto ringraziare ciascuno per il servizio che sta svolgendo per la Congregazione e pregare per le necessità di ogni famiglia.

Il giorno 7 aprile 2014 è stata convocata l’assemblea dei soci dell’Associazione Pro Bambini di Kabul Onlus alle ore 10.00, presso la Curia Generalizia dei Padri Rogazionisti in Roma Via Tuscolana n. 167, per discutere e deliberare in merito al seguente ordine del giorno:

1.   Relazione Annuale del Presidente Don Wladimiro Bogoni

2.   Approvazione Bilancio 2013

3.   Lettura e commento Statuto e Regolamento PBK

4.   Nuove linee per la Comunità Religiosa Intercongregazionale a Kabul

5.   Varie ed eventuali

La riunione è stata preceduta da una relazione tenuta da Don Gino Moro, FDP,  avente per tema “Molti Carismi un solo progetto Carismatico”, seguita da un dibattito da parte dell’assemblea.
