(April 14) The Formation Institute of Saint Hannibal (FISH) celebrated the closing rites of the School Year 2022/2023 with the Holy Eucharist presided by the Bishop of Maumere, Msgr. Edwaldus Martinus Sedu. The celebration began at 9:00 a.m. with the participation of 20 religious Congregations whose formands participated in the program and classes of our Institute during the school year. Rogationist priests and priests of other Congregations concelebrated in the liturgy. 

(April 7) The Rogationist seminarians and the youth who attend the Sunday catechesis performed the traditional devotion of Senakulo, which depicts the Passion of the Lord from the Last Supper to His burial.

(April 9) Archbishop Simon Ok Hyun-jin of Gwanju Archdiocese presided over the Easter Mass with about 600 migrant Catholics and pastoral workers of this ministry, including Fr. Jonrey Lauron RCJ who works at the archiocesan Migrant Center in the city. The Mass was celebrated in a mixture of Korean, English, Vietnamese, and East Timorese at the Gwanju Catholic Lifelong Educational Center. 

En date du 13 avril 2023 s'est clôturée la rencontre des Supérieurs des Communautés Rogationnistes du Rwanda qui a duré deux jours. Dirigée par Père Wilfredo Cruz, Supérieur Majeur de la Quasi-Province Saint Joseph, la réunion a débuté le 12 avril avec la célébration eucharistique matinale présidée par Père Wilfredo Cruz.

Il 14 aprile l’Associazione culturale siciliana “Antonello da Messina” con sede centrale a Roma, che promuove da 25 anni eventi, pubblicazioni e progetti legati all’identità culturale dell’isola, assegna annualmente un premio per valorizzare e far conoscere personalità che con la propria attività nei diversi campi della cultura, dell’arte, dello sport, del giornalismo, delle scienze umane, dei beni culturali, della cultura religiosa e della solidarietà hanno dato lustro alla terra d’origine, la Sicilia e Messina.

Fr. Orville Cajigal, RCJ, the Provincial Superior, did his Canonical Visit to the Holy Family Parish in Melbourne, Australia, on March 28-April 8, 2023. Bro. Christian Allan De Sagun, RCJ, the Provincial Secretary, joined him to document the said visitation and to check on the documents of the Religious Community and of the Parish. The encounter was highlighted by moments of common and personal dialogues, and of prayers, especially that about half of the duration of the said visit fell within the Holy Week. During this trip, the Provincial Superior had the opportunity to pay the Most Rev.

P. Bernard Dourwe est retournè à la Maison du Père

Nous avons appris la mort de notre confrère P. Bernard Dourwe, Sécrétaire de la Quasi Province Saint Joseph, à Edèa (Cameroun), aujourd’hui à 7h30 selon le p. Jean Marie Essome qui m’a téléphoné ce matin même. Prions pour le repos de l’âme de notre cher confrère.
