ROMA — Il 16 maggio 2026, nel cuore del bellissimo mese di maggio dedicato alla Beata Vergine Maria, si è svolto nel centro di Roma un pellegrinaggio profondamente spirituale e fraterno.
Il gruppo di quest'anno dei Formatori Rogazionisti, attualmente impegnati nella formazione permanente a Roma, insieme alle Figlie del Divino Zelo (FDZ) che partecipano al programma dell'Anno Carismatico a Roma, si sono riuniti per una giornata di preghiera, riflessione e commemorazione storica.
Il pellegrinaggio è stato guidato dai membri dei rispettivi consigli generali: P. Jose Maria Ezpeleta, RCJ (Consigliere Generale) e Suor Marie Thérèse Uwamwiza, FDZ (Consigliera Generale).
Un Santuario di profondo significato carismatico
La meta del pellegrinaggio è stata il Santuario Mariano di Maria Regina dei Cuori, un luogo sacro affidato alla cura dei Missionari Monfortani. Per i figli spirituali di Sant'Annibale Maria Di Francia, questo luogo santo riveste un immenso peso storico e spirituale.
Esattamente 120 anni fa, dal 10 al 13 maggio 1906, il Padre Fondatore in persona compì un profondo pellegrinaggio di quattro giorni consecutivi proprio in questo santuario. All'ultimo giorno del suo pellegrinaggio, Sant'Annibale fece il suo solenne Atto di Consacrazione a Maria secondo gli insegnamenti spirituali di San Luigi Maria Grignion de Montfort. Ritornando in questo santuario, l'attuale generazione di formatori e suore ha voluto attingere alla stessa sorgente spirituale che ha alimentato l'ardente amore di Sant'Annibale per il Rogate.
Una provvidenziale concomitanza di anniversari
La scelta temporale del pellegrinaggio ha aggiunto un ulteriore motivo di gioia e gratitudine per i partecipanti. L'incontro ha splendidamente coinciso con due anniversari fondamentali per la famiglia carismatica:
- Il 22° anniversario della canonizzazione di Sant'Annibale Maria Di Francia (canonizzato il 16 maggio 2004 da Papa Giovanni Paul II).
- Il 129° anniversario dell'inizio storico della Congregazione Rogazionista a Messina, Italia.
Rafforzare il legame della Famiglia del Rogate
La giornata è stata scandita dalla recita del santo rosario, la celebrazione comune della Santa Messa, da momenti di preghiera personale e comunitaria, da una fraterna condivisione, e l’atto di consacrazione a Maria. Guidati da P. Ezpeleta e Suor Marie Thérèse, i partecipanti hanno rinnovato il proprio impegno verso il carisma del Rogate.
Mentre i Formatori e le suore dell'Anno Carismatico fanno ritorno ai loro rispettivi programmi, portano con sé le rinnovate grazie della spiritualità mariana di Sant'Annibale — pronti a formare la prossima generazione di operai per la messe del Signore sotto il manto della Regina di tutti i cuori.
Walking in the Footsteps of St. Hannibal: Rogationist Formators and FDZ Sisters Embark on a Historic Marian Pilgrimage in Rome

ROME — On May 16, 2026, amid the beautiful month of May dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, a deeply spiritual and fraternal pilgrimage took place in the heart of Rome.
This year’s group of Rogationist Formators currently undergoing ongoing formation in Rome, together with the Daughters of Divine Zeal (FDZ) participating in their Charismatic Year program, came together for a day of prayer, reflection, and historical commemoration.
The pilgrimage was guided by members of their respective general leadership teams: Fr. Jose Maria Ezpeleta, RCJ (General Councilor) and Sr. Marie Thérèse Uwamwiza, FDZ (General Councilor).
A Sanctuary of Profound Charismatic Significance
The destination of the pilgrimage was the Marian Shrine of Mary, Queen of All Hearts, a sanctuary under the care of the Montfortan Missionaries. For the spiritual children of St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia, this holy site holds immense historical and spiritual weight.
Exactly 120 years ago, on May 10-13, 1906, Father Founder himself made a profound, four-consecutive-day pilgrimage to this very shrine. On the final day of his pilgrimage, St. Hannibal made his solemn Act of Consecration to Mary according to the spiritual teachings of St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort. By returning to this sanctuary, the current generation of formators and sisters sought to drink from the same spiritual wellspring that fueled St. Hannibal’s burning love for the Rogate.
A Providential Confluence of Anniversaries
The timing of the pilgrimage added an extra layer of joy and gratitude for the participants. The gathering beautifully coincided with two milestone anniversaries for the charismatic family:
- The 22nd Anniversary of the Canonization of St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia (Canonized on May 16, 2004, by Pope John Paul II).
- The 129th Anniversary of the Historical Beginning of the Rogationist Congregation in Messina, Italy.
Strengthening the Bond of the Rogate Family
The day was marked by the recitation of the Holy Rosary, a shared Holy Mass, moments of personal and communal prayer, the act of consecration to Mary, and fraternal bonding. Guided by Fr. Ezpeleta and Sr. Marie Thérèse, the participants renewed their own commitment to the Rogate charism.
As the Formators and Charismatic Year sisters return to their respective programs, they carry with them the renewed graces of St. Hannibal’s Marian spirituality—ready to form the next generation of laborers for the Lord's harvest under the mantle of the Queen of All Hearts.
