The first day of the Annual Assembly of the Rogationist Fathers of Our Lady of Guadalupe Delegation in Sanger, California. Out of 21 confreres, fourteen came to the Assembly. The confreres from Mexico were not able to attend due to immigration issues; however, some of them could join us Via Zoom. They listened and shared with all of us. Fr. Fiorenza celebrated the Holy Mass and in his homily stressed the importance of listening to one another and being open to discerning God’s Will for our Delegation. We were honored and privileged to have in our midst the Father General, Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, and the General Treasurer, Fr. Greco Brizio. Fr. Bruno addressed his message to all the members of the Assembly on the following topic: Prayer for Vocation and Charity, the Two Pillars of the Rogationist Charism. After the message, the confreres had the chance to give their comments. A delicious lunch followed afterwards in the same house. After a considerable time of rest, the members of the Assembly met by groups to reflect on three questions: 1) How does your community live out the Rogationist charism? 2) What suggestions do you have for improving it? 3) How is the Rogationist charism lived out in the parish community where you serve? 4) What proposals can you offer for a deeper and more effective inculturation of the Rogationist charism? In groups, they shared and came up with some reflections. At the end, the leaders shared the common reflections with the whole Assembly. The day was concluded with Vespers and dinner.
