P. Cesare Bettoni è ritornato alla Casa del Padre

<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>His master said to him, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master’s joy.’ (Mt. 25:23)</p> <p>I believe this is what the Lord tells Fr. Cè, an untiring worker in the harvest of the Lord; a servant of the Lord who has given everything of himself even to the last breath. Now, return to the Lord of the Harvest and share in his joy.&nbsp;</p> <p>As soon as I read the email announcing his death,&nbsp;I could not hold back my tears of sadness for the loss that touches me personally and I believe the same is true to so many other people. This is the first time I remember shedding so many tears for the passing away of a confrere. As I sobbed and whimpered, the only words I uttered repeatedly were "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Fr. Cesare."&nbsp;</p> <p>You have touched so many lives, particularly the Rogationist confreres whom you accompanied in their years of training and formation. You would never know how much you have influenced us by your simplicity, transparency, consistency, and coherent Rogationist religious life. Your memory is alive in each of us.&nbsp;</p> <div> <p>Go now and rest in peace. And from Heaven, watch over us, as we continue working in the harvest of the Lord, hopefully&nbsp;similar to what you did.&nbsp;</p> </div>
