(19 marzo) Oggi ha segnato un giorno storico per i Rogazionisti in India con la posa della prima pietra dell'edificio di ampliamento del Rogationist Academy (RA) ad Aluva, Kerala, India. La cerimonia è stata onorata da Sua Eccellenza Mar Thomas Chakiath, che ha benedetto la prima pietra. P. Shajan Pazhayil, Superiore Maggiore della Quasi Provincia San Tommaso, l'ha posta sotto il suolo per segnare l'inizio della costruzione. Erano presenti anche P. Devassy Painadath, Vicario Provinciale e Preside del RA, e P. Varghese Panickassery, Dirigente scolastico. Alla cerimonia hanno assistito anche i Padri, i religiosi studenti, il personale della scuola e soprattutto la presenza del signor Antony Thomas, il costruttore, e il signor Mathai, l'architetto.
Il Rogationist Academy, situato nel complesso Rogate Ashram ad Aluva, ha iniziato le sue operazioni nel 2016, trasformando il vecchio edificio del seminario in una scuola. Ora, ha più di 700 alunni iscritti, dall'asilo fino alla scuola primaria, e ha circa 50 dipendenti tra insegnanti e personale di supporto. È in fase di accreditamento presso il Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) dell'India per essere in grado di offrire il sillabo e il curriculum CBSE fino alla scuola secondaria.
Laying of the foundation stone of the extension building of Rogationist Academy in Aluva
(March 19) Today marked a historic day for Rogationists in India with the laying of the foundation stone of the Rogationist Academy (RA) extension building in Aluva, Kerala, India. The ceremony was graced by His Excellency Mar Thomas Chakiath who blessed the cornerstone. Fr. Shajan Pazhayil, Major Superior of St. Thomas Quasi-Province, placed it under the ground to mark the beginning of the construction. Also present were Fr. Devassy Painadath, Provincial Vicar and Principal of RA, and Fr. Varghese Panickassery, School Manager. The ceremony was also attended by the Fathers, religious students, school staff, and especially by Mr. Antony Thomas, the constructor, and Mr. Mathai, the architect.
The Rogationist Academy, located in the Rogate Ashram complex in Aluva, started its operations in 2016, by turning the old seminary building into a school. Now, it has more than 700 pupils enrolled from kindergarten to elementary school and has about 50 teaching and non-teaching staff. It is in the process of being accredited by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) of India to be able to offer the CBSE syllabus and curriculum up to secondary school.
