(Dec. 12) Remembering the 30th anniversary of the Maumere-Flores Earthquake and Tsunami, different agencies of the Government, Church, Security, Foundations, and the Community joined hands in the project of reforestation. The Rogate Beach (Seminary Rogationis Wailiti) is one of the planting locations selected for mangroves, hibiscus, and coconut. The tree-planting activity was preceded by a welcome ceremony and traditional greetings, the opening remarks from the Regent, and the blessing of the seedlings by the Bishop, followed by tree planting by all the participants present.
Let's plant trees... Let's be friends with nature... Let's love nature... Let's take care of the earth, our common home (Laudato si).
Maumere: Progetto di piantumazione di alberi
(12 dicembre) Ricordando il 30° anniversario del terremoto e dello tsunami di Maumere-Flores, diverse agenzie del governo, della Chiesa, della sicurezza, delle fondazioni e della comunità si sono unite nel progetto di riforestazione. La Rogate Beach (Seminary Rogationis Wailiti) è uno dei luoghi selezionati per piantare mangrovie, ibisco e cocco. L'attività di piantagione è stata preceduta da una cerimonia di benvenuto e dai tradizionali saluti, dal discorso di apertura del Reggente e dalla benedizione delle piantine da parte del Vescovo, seguita dalla piantagione di alberi da parte di tutti i partecipanti.
Piantiamo alberi... Diventiamo amici della natura... Amiamo la natura... Prendiamoci cura della terra, nostra casa comune (Laudato si).
