Fr. Matteo Sanavio, RCJ, the Pontifical Commissioner, Fr. Savino Castiglione, the former General Superior of the Little Mission for the Deaf, Fr. Orville Cajigal, RCJ, the Provincial Superior of St. Matthew Province, together with the community of St. Hannibal Formation Center – Cebu, led by Fr. Dante Quidayan, RCJ,  had an audience with the Archbishop of Cebu, Most Rev. Jose Palma, D.D. this morning, December 8, 2022, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, at the Archbishop Palace in Jakosalem St.

The Archbishop joined first everyone for a breakfast together with the Auxiliary Bishop, Most. Rev. Antonio Rañola, DD at the St. Vincent Hall. Sharing of stories and laughter echoed at hall as everyone enjoyed the bountiful meal. Minutes later, everyone proceeded to the receiving hall to formally meet the archbishop.

During the meeting, matters regarding the merging of the Little Missionary for the Deaf to our congregation were discussed. Fr. Matteo expressed his concerns of the merging and gladness for the support of the archbishop. Fr. Savino also shared his visions and support for the transition of the change of leadership of their community. Fr. Orville also asked for prayers from the bishop as the province is about to take care of this new apostolate and transition of the community. The new members of the Rogationist Seminary - Cebu were also introduced, namely Fr. Joseph Nguyen Thinh, RCJ, as the Treasurer and Fr. Jeffrey Salvador, RCJ as the Vocation Promoter of the community. At the end the archbishop expressed his support and gladness of receiving the community and for the collaboration of the merging between the two congregation.
