Aluva, May 12, 2025: The Perpetually Professed religious of St Thomas Quasi Province convened their General Assembly today. The assembly was graced by the arrival of the General, Rev Fr Bruno Rampazzo, the General Councillor and Vicar General, Fr Jose Maria Ezpeleta, and the General Treasurer, Fr Brizio Greco Giovanni, who landed at Cochin Airport in the morning. They were received by Fr Shajan and Fr Robin and the RA community officially received them to the community. A communal lunch provided an opportunity for fellowship among all attendees of the General Assembly, which officially commenced at 3:00 pm. Fr Shajan extended a warm welcome to all, with particular mention of the esteemed presence of the General, Vicar General, and General Treasurer. The official inauguration involved the symbolic lighting of a lamp by Fr Bruno, Fr Jose Maria, Fr Brizio, Fr Shajan, and Fr Shone, the newly ordained priest. Following this, Fr General delivered his inaugural address. Subsequently, Fr Shajan and the councillors presented the report of the outgoing administration for their term. The assembly comprised fifty members in person and approximately fifteen participating online. The first Holy Mass of the General Assembly was celebrated at 7:30 pm, with Fr Bruno as the principal celebrant. The first day's proceedings concluded with supper.
