(8 settembre) La sera della festa della Natività della Beata Vergine Maria, conosciuta anche come Maria Bambinella, lo Studentato Rogazionista Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies è stato benedetto con la solenne conferimento dei ministeri. Undici religiosi studenti sono stati istituiti al ministero di lettore e sei al ministero dell'Accolito.
P. Jessie Martirizar, RCJ, Superiore delegato, ha presieduto la celebrazione della Santa Messa, concelebrata da diversi sacerdoti Rogazionisti. La liturgia è stata impreziosita dalla presenza dei novizi Rogazionisti, che hanno fatto da coro. Hanno partecipato anche i postulanti, gli amici e i benefattori, testimoniando con gioia questa tappa fondamentale nel percorso di formazione dei fratelli.
Nella sua omelia, padre Jessie ha riflettuto sul profondo legame tra la devozione mariana e la chiamata cristiana al servizio, in particolare per i Rogazionisti. Proprio come Maria ha offerto tutta la sua vita a Dio attraverso il suo fiat, anche coloro che sono stati istituiti ai ministeri di Lettore e Accolito sono chiamati a dedicarsi completamente a Cristo attraverso il servizio alla Sua Parola e all'Altare.
Celebrare questi ministeri nella festa della Natività della Beata Vergine Maria mette in risalto in modo splendido la sua guida materna nel cammino dei fratelli. Proprio come lei è nata per portare Cristo, questi uomini sono chiamati e formati per portare Cristo nella Parola e nel Sacramento per la vita della Chiesa.
Filippine: Installation to the Ministry of Lector and Acolyte
(September 8) On the evening of the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also known as Maria Bambinella, the Father Di Francia Center of Studies, in Paranaque, Philippines, was blessed with the solemn conferral of ministries. Eleven brothers were instituted to the Ministry of Lector, and six to the Ministry of Acolyte.
Fr. Jessie Martirizar, RCJ, Superior-delegate, presided over the celebration of the Holy Mass, which was concelebrated by several Rogationist priests. The liturgy was graced by the presence of the Rogationist novices, who served as the choir. The postulants, friends, and benefactors also attended, joyfully witnessing this milestone in the brothers’ formation journey.
In his homily, Fr. Jessie reflected on the profound connection between Marian devotion and the Christian call to service, particularly for Rogationists. Just as Mary offered her entire life to God through her fiat, those who were instituted to the ministries of Lector and Acolyte are also called to dedicate themselves fully to Christ through service to His Word and Altar.
Celebrating these ministries on the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary beautifully highlights her maternal guidance on the brothers' journey. Just as she was born to bring forth Christ, these men are called and formed to bring forth Christ in Word and Sacrament for the life of the Church.
