Fr. Herman Abcede with Bro. Nilo Pelobello and Bro. Christian Allan De Sagun just completed their Canonical Visit to the the community of the St. Anthony's Boys Village (SABV) in Silang, Cavite, Philippines. The visit, which included encounters with the students, teachers, workers and members of the religious community from the different entities under the SABV, lasted from the January 19 until January 22, 2016.

Fr. Deepu Plathottathil was ordained priest on January 21, 2016, by his eminence Archbishop George Njaralakkatt, the archbishop of Tellissery diocese. The celebration started on the previous day with the prayer in the house of Fr. Deepu. All the Rogationists religious, the relatives of Fr. Deepu, gathered in the house as he was moving to the bishop's house for the immediate preparation. The family friend of Fr. Deepu, Bishop Georges Varkey Puthiyakulangara, from the diocese of Port-Bergé, Madagascar, graced the prayer service with his message to the family and to Fr. Deepu. The following day for the ordination ceremony Fr. Shajan Pazhayil served as the archdeacon. It was very beautiful celebration and Rogationists fathers, religious students, novices, postulants and seminarians participated in the celebration. Relatives, friends and benefactors joined in the celebration to thank the Lord for the gift of priesthood conferred upon Fr. Deepu Plathottathil. During the felicitation meeting, representing the Quasi Province, the Major Superior congratulated the family and parish community of Fr. deepu for offering two of their sons to the Rogationist congregation and to the Church, Fr. James and Fr. Deepu Plathottathil. He encouraged the parish community to continue to show their generosity in promoting and encouraging vocations to the Church.

Il 3 gennaio si ricorda il Nome SS.mo di Gesù. Nella storia e tradizione rogazionista esso assume una importanza straordinaria, voluta e codificata dal santo Fondatore Annibale Maria Di Francia. L’intero mese di gennaio è consacrato al Nome SS.mo di Gesù, la cui devozione è tra le primarie nella prassi liturgica Rogazionista, di grande importanza. Secondo il pensiero del Fondatore tale importanza non deve mai scemare. Il Nome di Gesù, scrive egli stesso "Non vuol dire le quattro lettere che lo compongono, ma vuol dire Gesù Cristo Incarnato che nasce, cresce, muore e risorge per la salute del mondo. Vuol dire G. C. nella sua divina persona, nella sua celeste dottrina, nelle opere mirabilissime del suo amore. Vuol dire G. C. che siede alla destra del Padre in cielo e in terra dimora sempre in seno alla sua Chiesa nel SS.mo Sacramento dell’altare nel quale di fa ostia continua di propiziazione e cibo sovra sostanziale e quotidiano di ogni anima. Questo è il Nome di Gesù. Pronunziare Gesù vuol dire richiamare al pensiero tutti i misteri del suo amore, della sua sapienza, della carità del suo dolcissimo amore". (Scritti, vol. 52, p. 161). ​​​​Fr. Praveen Mundanchery was ordained priest in the afternoon of January 09, 2016, by his Lordship Rev. Dr. Alex Vadakkumthala, the bishop of Kannoor. Praveen was ordained in the traditional Latin parish of Varapuzha. He is the first Rogationist Indian Priest from the Latin diocese. The parish priest and parishioners organized a warm welcome for the bishop and Dn. Praveen. It was a beautiful and colourful ordination ceremony for Fr. Praveen as well as a joyful celebration for the Parish. Rogationists priests from all the communities, a good number of Daughters of Divine Zeal sisters, benefactors and friends joined in the celebration.

Dall'11 al 17 gennaio a Curitiba (Brasile) si terranno gli esercizi spirituali e l'assemblea annuale delle Missionarie Rogazioniste, dal tema: "Discepole e Missionarie del Rogate a servizio della messe". Gli esercizi spirituali, che verteranno sull'identità rogazionista delle missionarie, approfondiranno il carisma del Rogate a partire dai testi biblici e liturgici del Proprio Rogazionista e saranno animati da P. Matteo Sanavio, Consigliere Generale per il Laicato. All'evento parteciperanno anche P. Juarez Albino Destro, Superiore Provinciale della Provincia San Lucas e P. Gilson Luiz Maia, Consigliere Provinciale per il Laicato.
