(29 agosto) — P. Welbert Lloyd Suarez RCJ e P. Paul John Mapacpac RCJ della Provincia San Matteo sono stati inviati in missione con una semplice cerimonia presieduta da P. Al John Provido RCJ, direttore dei postulanti. Il rito si è svolto alla presenza dei postulanti nella cappella del Centro Sant'Annibale Rogate, nella sede della Provincia, a Paranaque, nelle Filippine. Fino a poco tempo fa, entrambi i Rogazionisti erano missionari a Sideia, in Papua Nuova Guinea. Ora sono stati chiamati a condividere il carisma del Rogate in due nuove presenze missionarie della Provincia San Matteo negli Stati Uniti d'America. . Suarez svolgerà il ministero pastorale nella chiesa parrocchiale di St. Mary a Mokena, Illinois (diocesi di Joliet), mentre P. Mapacpac svolgerà il ministero pastorale nelle parrocchie di St. Patrick e St. Margaret Mary a Terre Haute, Indiana (arcidiocesi di Indianapolis).
Che Sant'Anibale Maria, che immaginò i rogazionisti andare in missione oltre i confini della loro terra, li guidi e interceda per loro mentre portano la speranza di Cristo!
Mission Sending
(August 29) — Fr. Welbert Lloyd Suarez RCJ and Fr. Paul John Mapacpac RCJ of the St. Matthew Province were sent off for their mission assignments in a simple rite presided over by Fr. Al John Provido RCJ, Postulant Director. The rite took place in the presence of the postulants at the Chapel of the St. Hannibal Rogate Center in the Headquarters of the Province, in Paranaque, Philippines. Until recently, both Rogationists were missionaries in Sideia, Papua New Guinea. They have now been called to share the charism of Rogate in two new missionary presences of the St. Matthew Province in the United States of America. Fr. Suarez will render pastoral ministry at St. Mary Parish Church in Mokena, Illinois (Diocese of Joliet), and Fr. Mapacpac will render pastoral ministry at St. Patrick and St. Margaret Mary Parishes in Terre Haute, Indiana (Archdiocese of Indianapolis).
May St. Hannibal Mary, who envisioned the Rogationists going on missions beyond their own lands, guide and intercede for them as they bear Christ’s hope!
