Il 29 novembre 2023, il governo civile di Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam, ha concesso ai Rogazionisti il permesso di stabilirsi in città, su richiesta di p. Joseph Phan Hoang Nguyen, rappresentante legale della Congregazione e la presentazione dell'Arcidiocesi di Ho Chi Minh City. La Congregazione è arrivata a Ho Chi Minh City il 14 giugno 2023. Ci sono voluti 20 anni per arrivare alla condizione adeguata per ottenere il riconoscimento ufficiale del governo civile.
Il 20 gennaio 2022, un analogo riconoscimento civile è stato concesso alla Congregazione nella Provincia di Lam Dong, dove si trovano le comunità rogazioniste di Dalat e Baoloc.
Si tratta di due riconoscimenti da parte di due autorità civili locali. Con le condizioni mature di un numero sufficiente di membri vietnamiti e di proprietà in Vietnam, la Congregazione spera di poter ottenere il riconoscimento della Congregazione Rogazionista come entità religiosa a livello nazionale.
I Rogazionisti sono presenti in tre diocesi: Ho Chi Minh City, Dalat e Phu Cuong. I rispettivi vescovi hanno dato il loro consenso all'istituzione dei Rogazionisti nei loro territori.
Con questi riconoscimenti civili, la Congregazione può ora lavorare più efficacemente nell'annuncio del Vangelo del Rogate, al servizio delle vocazioni e della carità nella Chiesa e nella società del Vietnam.
Al 5 dicembre 2023, i Rogazionisti vietnamiti sono 34, così suddivisi: 14 sacerdoti, 16 religiosi studenti e 4 novizi. Ci sono anche alcuni postulanti e aspiranti.
Vietnam: Recognition of the Rogationists in Ho Chi Minh City
On November 29, 2023, the civil government of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, granted the Rogationists permission to establish themselves in the city, upon the request of Fr. Joseph Phan Hoang Nguyen, the legal representative of the Congregation and the presentation of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City. The Congregation arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on June 14, 2023. It took 20 years to arrive at the proper condition to obtain the official recognition of the civil government.
On January 20, 2022, a similar civil recognition was granted to the Congregation in the Province of Lam Dong, where the Rogationist communities of Dalat and Baoloc are located.
This makes two recognitions by two local civil authorities. With the ripe conditions of a sufficient number of Vietnamese members and properties in Vietnam, the Congregation hopes to be able to soon obtain recognition of the Rogationist Congregation as a religious entity at the national level.
The Rogationists are present in three dioceses: Ho Chi Minh City, Dalat, and Phu Cuong. The respective bishops have given their consent for the establishment of the Rogationists in their territories.
With these civil recognitions, the Congregation can now work more effectively in the proclamation of the Gospel of the Rogate, in the service of vocations and charity in the Church and society of Vietnam.
As of December 5, 2023, there are 34 Vietnamese Rogationists, broken down as follows: 14 priests, 16 religious students, and 4 novices. There are also several postulants and aspirants.
