This year, the Rogationist formation community
is comprised of the following:

4 Rogationist formators

1  pre-novice who has already finished Philosophy

7 aspirants (1 second year Philosophy, 5 first
year Philosophy, 2 collaborator assistants)

7 pre-college discerners

3 dormitories (1 for pre-college, 1 for
college, 1 for Philosophy candidates)

July 3, 2007, Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle, marks a
milestone in the history of the Rogationists in India. Today, the Rogationist
Novitiate in India was formally opened with 3 novices, Lixon Paul Puthanagady,
Aneesh Varghese Kannapuzha, Vineesh Varghese Duvilpeedika  and with Fr. Shajan Pazhayil as Novice Master
during a celebration presided by Fr. Luigi Toffanin, Delegate ad Personam of the
Major Superior. The Rogationists Religious and Priest along with our sisters,
the Daughters of Divine Zeal and various novices from different religious congregations,
witnessed the event.

For the past 15 years, the Indian Postulants had to go to
the Philippines for their novitiate due to the problem of continuity in
formation since no missionary may stay in India for more than six months. This
has caused notable problems specially in the processing of visas and other
bureaucratic requirements. Today, the Rogationists in India has hurdled that
difficulty with the opening of the first Novitiate with an Indian as Novice
Master. Fr. Shajan was born in Koratty, Kerala, India on January 12 1972. He
entered the seminary in Aluva on June 10 1989 and was ordained a priest in
2004. He had just finished his Licentiate at the Angelicum Pontifical
University in Rome specializing in Spirituality.

Il giorno 22 aprile 2007 con la presenza del Superiore Generale, P. Giorgio Nalin, P. Giuseppe Bove e P. Gabriel Flores, del Vescovo Diocesano, Msgr. Francesco Panfilo, del Nunzio Apostolico in Papua Nuova Guinea e di numerosi Sacerdoti della Congregazione dei Missionari del Sacro Cuore dai quali abbiamo ricevuto la missione di Sideia, Papua Nuova Guinea, si celebrano solennemente i 75 anni di vita della missione e della presenza del cristianesimo in Sideia.

In the presence of the Superior General, Fr. Giorgio Nalin,
together with the General Treasurer, Fr. Giuseppe Bove and graced by presence
of the Swedish Benefactors Mr. Karl Axel
Granlund and Mrs. Kerstin Grandlund, the corner stone marking the beginning of
the construction of the new Rogationist College – Paranaque was laid in the
five thousand square meter lot located the side of Fr. Di Francia Center of
Studies. The new school building, symbol
of the 20^th year of St. Anthony Boys Village and the Rogationist College-
Silang, is intended for the further Development
of the Multi-Level school and the
scholarship program which began in 1990 during the time of Fr. Vito Di Marzio
and Fr. James Rossini. This apostolate is an offshoot of the Parish Feeding Program
and Informal Education for the marginalized children.

P. Bruno Rampazzo e’ stato confermato per il terzo mandato come Superiore maggiore della Delegazione Filippino-Indiana per il quadriennio 2007-2011.  P. Bruno sara’ assistito dai seguenti Consiglieri: P. Jessie Martirizar,  come Vicario, P. Eric Raveza, P. Herman Abcede, e P. Marcelino Diaz.  P. Eric Raveza III e’ il nuovo Economo della Delegazione mentre il nuovo segretario sara’ nominato successivamente dal governo di Delegazione stessa.

I componenti del nuovo governo della Delegazione sono stati annunciati formalmente dal superiore Generale  dei Rogazionisti, P. Giorgio Nalin, durante  la sessione conclusiva  dell‘Assemblea della Delegazione Filippino-Indiana  che si e’ tenuta  all’Oasi di Preghiera in Silang, Cavite nei giorni 9-11 Aprile.

Nella mattinata l’Assemblea era stata divisa in piccoli gruppi per rivedere la bozza della dichiarazione di intenti e missione della Delegazione Filippino-Indiana. Poi, nell’Assemblea plenaria la dichiarazione e’ stata finalizzata. L’Assemblea ha accettato all’unanimita’ la bozza finale elaborata dalla commissione ad hoc composta da. P. Danny Montana, P. Jomari Ezpeleta e P. Ulrich Gacayan.

Nel pomeriggio l’Assemblea ha letto e ratificato il testo finale del documento che servira’ come Direttiva principale per pianificare le strategie  della Delegazione Filippino-Indiana per i prossimi quattro anni ed oltre. Poi P. Giorgio Nalin ha annunciato ufficialmente i componenti del nuovo governo della Delegazione Filippino-Indiana.

L’Assemblea si e’ conclusa con la celebrazione della Eucaristica presieduta dal P. Giorgio Nalin. Dopo  la Messa i partecipanti dell’Assemblea sono partiti per una  giornata di  svago fraterno in uno stabilimento balneare sulle spiagge di Batangas.

The Rogationist Philippine-Indian Delegation has started on April 9, 2007 a 3-day assembly of all the perpetually professed religious of the circumscription at the Oasis of Prayer in Silang, Cavite. The official meeting, coinciding with the end of the term of the current Delegation government, is convoked for the purpose of programming the orientations of the new Government for the next four years. The fifty-four participants come from all the houses in the Philippines and the superiors and responsible of houses and missionary stations in India, Indonesia, Korea, Papua New Guinea and Vietnam. Fr. Giorgio Nalin, Rogationist Superior General, presides over the assembly. Fr. Herman Abcede acts as moderator and Fr. John Lucas is the secretary.

The assembly started with the mid-afternoon liturgy presided over by Msgr. Luis Antonio Tagle, Bishop of Imus, who also expressed his best wishes for the fruitful result of the meeting. Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, current Major Superior said words of welcome to the participants. Afterwards, Fr. Giorgio Nalin called the roll of names. Then, he delivered words of introduction about the assembly.

The rest of the afternoon was dedicated to the presentation of the current situations and the future perspectives of the various houses situated outside the Philippines. Fr. Luigi Toffanin, Fr. Varghese PG and Fr. Joseph Mailaparambil presented about the houses in India, accompanied by video clips. Fr. Daniel Kim reported about the house in Korea. Fr. Henry Ramos described the missionary station in Indonesia. Fr. Jose Maria Ezpeleta and Fr. Ronaldo Victoria gave an account of the Rogationist mission in Vietnam and Papua New Guinea, respectively. After dinner, Treasurer General Fr. Giuseppe Bove met with all the treasurers of the various houses of the Philippine Indian Delegation.

Con lettera del 16 novembre 2004, il Superiore Generale, P. Giorgio Nalin, ha deliberato l’apertura della Stazione Missionaria di Maumere, Indonesia, dove si trova attualmente il P. Henry Ramos. Ci sono sette seminaristi che stanno facendo il loro cammino vocazionale presso un Centro di discernimento organizzato dalla diocesi in Mataloco. Si è proceduto alla compera di un pezzo di terra dove si spera di poter iniziare l’opera formativa. Il P. Ramos sarà nelle Filippine, Manila, verso la metà del mese di dicembre 2004.

La nuova iniziativa dei Rogazionisti a Kerala in India: Rogate Computer Academy (RCA) è stata inaugurata il 13 feb. 2004 dalla signora Sarala Mohanan, Presidente del governo locale. L'accademia è affiliata al ITDC (Centro di Informazione Tecnologica e Sviluppo), un'agenzia autorizzata dal Governo dello Stato del Kerala. RCA è animata dal proposito di provvedere di computer per una qualificata educazione che privilegia di più poveri. L'accademia offre molti corsi a lungo e breve termine.
