Today, May 31 2021, on the conclusion of Marian Month, His grace Mar Sebastian Vaniyapurackal, Curia Bishop of Syro-Malabar Church, ordained Rev Dinu Konnankudy to the Sacred Order of Priesthood in his own native parish at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Ayathupady.

May 31 – Priestly Ordination of Rev. Dinu Konnankudy. Today at 9.15 pm, Rev. Dinu Konnankudy will receive the Sacred Order of Priesthood at his own native Parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Ayathupady. Curia Bishop Sebastian Vaniyapurackal, through the imposition of his hands will ordain him to the Sacred Order of Presbyterate.

On May 31, 2021 Deacon Dinu Konnankudy Rcj will be ordained priest at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, (native Parish) Ayathupady, Kerala, India. His Excellency Mar Sebastian Vaniyapurackal will confer the ordination. Soon after the ordination, the first thanks giving Holy Mass will be celebrated in Syro-Malabar Rite in the presence of very limited persons due to the Covid 19 indications. Deacon Libin Machingal Rcj will be ordained priest on May 29, 2021 at St Mary’s Church, Nellayi, Kerala, India, to be conferred by His Excellency Mar Pauly Kannookadan, bishop of Iringalakkuda diocese. The first Holy Mass will be celebrated on the same day immediately after the ordination in the Syro-Malabar Rite. God is gracious and continues to assist His people! Under the strict lock down restrictions in Kerala due to the present pandemic situations, St Thomas Quai Province organized a very simple private celebration for the renewal of vows of the religious students. Majority of Religious students who are in temporary vows renewed their vows during the evening prayer at Rogate Ashram Chapel. Major Superior Fr Joby Kavungal presided over the celebration at 6.30 pm today, May 16, 2021.
